To ensure compliance with ADA Title II accessibility requirements, we are implementing a mandatory standard for all intranet content. 

Effective immediately, all articles containing images must include appropriate alternative text (alt tags) and image descriptions. This includes, but is not limited to, infographics, screenshots, charts, diagrams, and any other graphical content. In addition, images that are hot-linked from external sources (such as Box or similar platforms) must also meet the same accessibility requirements. 

Any intranet articles that contain infographics, screenshots, charts, or diagrams without proper alt text or descriptive labeling will be temporarily unpublished until they are updated to meet these standards. This measure is necessary to ensure that all content is accessible to users who rely on assistive technologies and to maintain compliance with ADA Title II regulations. 

Content owners are responsible for reviewing and updating their articles to include meaningful, descriptive alt text that accurately conveys the purpose and information of each image. Once updates are completed, articles may be republished following standard review procedures.
